At the core of our project lies an indispensable central objective: to strengthen internal governance and enhance the skills of the three community organizations responsible for managing the conservation concessions we support. Our vision goes beyond mere preservation; we aspire to bolster their leadership and foster flourishing autonomy that will drive their crucial commitment to tropical forest protection.
Within these organizations, we facilitate collaborative sessions for strategic planning, where every voice is an essential piece of the puzzle, and each idea shapes the future horizon. Training workshops cover technical, financial, administrative, and accounting domains. Each session is a step closer to autonomy, providing the necessary skills for more independent management of conservation projects.
In pursuit of autonomy and accountability, we also ensure rigorous liaison with local authorities. Robust legal processes, supported by specialized training, ensure that these organizations meet administrative compliance requirements, a necessary step toward growing autonomy.
We acknowledge that the sustainability of conservation areas cannot be ensured without inspired, inspiring, and visionary community leaders. Thus, a fundamental facet of our project is expressed through the creation of a pilot training program. These comprehensive sessions, focusing on empowerment, leadership, and governance of conservation concessions, aim to train local leaders who, armed with the necessary skills, will confidently guide their community towards a sustainable future.
