Conservation concessions are community-established zones managed by local associations, encompassing only a small part of the community. Hence, it's crucial to develop activities that enhance participation and awareness. Our conservation project deeply commits to environmental education. We aim to bridge gaps within communities, ensuring a complete understanding of the significance of conservation concessions.
Our primary initiative involves establishing digital spaces within educational institutions. Three digital classrooms, connected via satellite internet, will emerge in the three communities. These spaces will serve as educational hubs where children can learn, supported by our partners and local educators. Additionally, we'll set up three interpretation centers, serving as meeting places for community members and external visitors, highlighting the richness of the Huayabamba Valley forests.
Beyond the digital realm, our approach extends to workshops, events, and awareness materials. We aspire to craft a comprehensive environmental education program and teaching tools, emphasizing sustainable use of forest resources and the importance of conservation areas for local populations.
It's not merely an educational initiative; it's a path toward conscious, engaged communities fully invested in forest preservation.
